How does standby and backup generators work?
When a standby and backup generator is properly installed. The system will transfer the power source from the main electricity distribution grid and the standby or backup generator. With a standby generator, this is done automatically. Whereas, with a backup generator (often a portable generator) this sometimes will be done manually using a manual transfer switch.
